OF LEGAL:

LAW (a loanword from Old Norse lag), in politics and jurisprudence,
is a set of rules or norms of conduct which mandate, proscribe or
permit specified relationships among people and organisations, provide
methods for ensuring the impartial treatment of such people, and
provide punishments for those who do not follow the established
rules of conduct.
LEGAL ENTITY. Any individual, partnership, proprietorship, corporation,
association or other organization that has, in the eyes of the law,
the capacity to make a contract or an agreement and the abilities
to assume an obligation and to pay off its debts. A legal entity,
under the law, is responsible for its actions and can be sued for
damages.
A collection of interested parties who get together for a common
interest, committees, organisations, societies and unincorporated
bodies are not legal entities unless they have set up some structure
recognised at law as a legal entity able to enter into a contract
in its own right.
