Airlines: An airline is an organization providing aviation services to passengers and/or cargo. It owns or leases airliners with which to supply these services and may form partnerships or alliances with other airlines for reasons of mutual benefit.

Rail transport: Refers to the land transport of passengers and goods along railways or railroads. These consist of two parallel rails, usually of steel, generally mounted upon cross-sectional beams (termed "sleepers" or "ties") of timber, concrete or other material. The underlying support maintains the rails at a fixed distance (gauge) apart. Usually vehicles running on the rails are arranged in a train (a series of individual powered or unpowered vehicles linked together).

In rail transport, a train consists of a single or several connected rail vehicles that are capable of being moved together along a guideway to transport freight or passengers from one place to another along a planned route. The guideway (permanent way) usually consists of conventional rail tracks, but may be monorail or maglev. Propulsion for the train may come from a variety of sources, but most often from a locomotive or self-propelled multiple unit.

Bus: A bus is a large wheeled vehicle, intended to carry numerous persons in addition to the driver. The name is a shortened version of omnibus ("for everyone").

Taxi: Taxi cab: a car driven by a person whose job is to take passengers where they want to go in exchange for money.

Ship: A ship is a large, sea-going watercraft. Except sometimes, in ancient use, it is decked. A ship usually has sufficient size to carry its own boats, such as lifeboats, dinghies, or runabouts.

Ferry: A ferry is a boat or a ship carrying passengers, and sometimes their vehicles, on short-distance, scheduled services.
